Ongoing series

At the origin of this series lies a simple and almost unconscious gesture: picking up a pebble on the beach, rolling it in one’s fingers, keeping it in a pocket without really knowing why. A gesture we have all repeated, without clear intention, yet one that reveals something about our relationship to matter, to time, and to ourselves.
Pebbles are the result of a long process of formation. Their roundness, their stability, their ability to find their place, this grounding in the bed of a river, on the edge of a beach, or in the hollow of a hand, are not the result of chance, but of time shaping, transforming, and adapting.
These pebbles, we pick them up, sometimes just for the duration of a walk, the time it takes for a thought to form. Sometimes we bring them back home, into our interiors, to keep for later or to remember. Moments during which they accompany us and take part in the forming of a thought, a memory, a future, allowing us in turn to find our own place.
This series of sculptures makes visible this work of time, both on matter and on our thoughts, on our lives.
Each sculpture in this series is available for acquisition. For any enquiry regarding availability or pricing, please use the contact form.
