In this series, two shores belonging to the same world face each other and take each other in, without ever touching. They share the same material, the same origin, yet something holds them apart, they are two distinct shores. What separates them is not distance, but the illusion of it.

This series draws from what nature traces on its own: a coastline shaped by erosion, the rings of a piece of wood accumulating over time, two shores of the same world running alongside each other, extending toward one another without ever meeting or answering.

Here, distance is nothing but an illusion, and separation is only another name for what brings things into relation.
